SALT LAKE CITY – It really should not come as a surprise, but the Utah Jazz did announce the team exercised its third year option on guard Donovan Mitchell.

The second year player seemed to express relief to learn of the news as well.

Mitchell is coming off his rookie season where he finished second in Rookie of the Year voting.

In the playoffs he scored 24.4 points per game as he became the first rookie to average over 20 points in the postseason since Tim Duncan in 1998 per the Utah Jazz.

The team also picked up its third year option on sophomore Tony Bradley as well.
