OPINION: School shopping list: Bulletproof vests?

Do kids need bullet proof backpacks?

How can you ensure your kids’ safety when going back to school next semester? Should we invest in bulletproof vests and backpacks?

The Utah Legislature will have a special session to figure out what to do about school safety.

Also, the Utah Safe Schools Commission is pushing a way to catch be more likely to catch mental health “red flags” to mass school shootings from happening.

What can we do to prevent mass violence in Utah’s schools?
