WEBER COUNTY — A Weber County deputy is being credited with saving a couple who didn’t even know their home was on fire.
Joshua Marigoni is a lieutenant in corrections with the Sheriff’s department. The sheriff’s office says Marigoni was driving by the home on 4700 West in an unincorporated part of Weber County yesterday morning when he saw smoke coming from the attic and the fire starting to spread.
Fire District Chief Paul Sullivan believes the lieutenant’s quick thinking prevented any injuries to the couple and their pets. The rescue happened the day before Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.
