Officer Mike Kiesel, West Jordan

The following was submitted by Sergeant J.C. Holt.

Officer Kiesel has been an avid skateboarder most of his life; he also enjoys working with the youth. While patrolling the City of West Jordan, Officer Keisel noticed many youth had damaged or broken skateboards and some had no skateboards at all.

Officer Kiesel decided he would find a way to use his enthusiasm for skateboarding, to develop a connection with the youth in West Jordan. Using his own money, Officer Kiesel purchased several skateboard decks and has been finding kids to give them out to.

His interaction has helped develop a positive relationship with many of the youth in our city . We are very appreciative of Officer Kiesel and the great example he has been to our police department.
