“On May 5th, while off duty and attending his boys basketball game at East High school, Lt. Stucki was in another gym running the score clock. A person came in and asked if anyone had medical training and could assist in the other gym.
Eric went in and found a 15 year old boy on the ground and only with a slight pulse. He remembered seeing an AED on the wall when he came into the gym so he ran over to get it. He found that the machine was locked to the wall. He ran back and couldn’t pick up a pulse on the young man, so he started into chest compressions.
Another lady with medical training also came and the two of them began CPR until advanced medical personnel could arrive on scene to take over. Once they arrived, they were able to utilize an AED on the boy to get a heart beat back. Through the quick response of Lt. Stucki and this other lady, the boy was able to be revived and has made a full recovery.”
