SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Jazz announced guard Dante Exum will be out for at least another two weeks as he continues to rehab from his sprained ankle he suffered in January.

The last game he played in was on the road against the Detroit Pistons where the Jazz came back to win and were down nearly 20 in the game. Exum stepped on Derrick Favors’ foot and rolled it.

The team’s medical staff examined him Thursday and they determined he needed a little more time for recovery due to a bone bruise accompanying his sprained ankle.

He’s missed 17 games in all and the Jazz have gone 12-5 in his absence. This season Exum averages 7.4 points per game, dishes out 2.7 assists per game, and pulls down and 1.7 rebounds per game.

“I think when he’s playing well, he can have a big impact for us and having him back soon is going to help us a lot,” Jazz center Rudy Gobert said following Wednesday’s practice.

The Jazz are currently coming off their All-Star break and will take on Oklahoma City Friday at 7:30 P.M.
