Man recovering from injuries after Saratoga Springs head-on crash

SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah — A 46-year-old man is recovering from some serious injuries on Friday after a crash in Saratoga Springs near the tail-end of Thursday afternoon’s rush hour. Saratoga Springs police spokesman Sgt. Merrick Pack says they got a call about 6:15 to a 4-car accident at 689 N. Redwood Rd.
“They found a vehicle, a Honda Civic, was northbound on Redwood Rd, trying to make a left turn into Smith’s. It hit head-on into a southbound car, hitting three other cars in the process. The driver was taken by ambulance to Mountain View Hospital, and wound up being flown to IMC by helicopter,” says Pack.
Pack says the driver of the Honda Civic was the only one injured in the accident that closed some lanes and caused big delays in an already crowded area seeing the last of a busy afternoon rush hour home from work. Thursday night, that driver had been reported in stable condition, according to Pack.
Sgt. Pack says the driver of the Honda was not wearing a seat belt and was alone in the Civic. Saratoga Springs Police and fire units responded.
