WVC police believe not all is as it seems in early Saturday stabbing

Stabbing reported early Saturday morning in West Valley.
(West Valley City, UT) — A mid-morning tweet from West Valley police seems to indicate that an early Saturday stabbing may not have happened in West Valley. Lt. Amy Mauer says the victim originally told officers he was pulled over along U-111 on the way to work, when two men got out of a car behind him.
“He pulled over due to car problems. He heard a car pull up behind his car where two males got out of the car, few words were spoken. He was cut superficially, he’ll have stitches in his arm and possibly was punched in the face,” Mauer tells KSL on Saturday morning.
By 11 a.m., according to a tweet from the department, investigators say some different information provided to police came to light about exactly how those injuries were received. Now police say this all didn’t happen as previusly described and did NOT occur in West Valley, according to the tweet from @WVCPD
