Provo man accused of throwing kittens out of moving vehicle

PROVO, Utah — Robert Earl Corliss, 59, was arrested last week and is under investigation of aggravated cruelty to animals after being accused of throwing kittens out of a moving car.
Corliss was booked into the Utah County Jail after witnesses reported seeing him throwing, ” two small kittens out of the passenger side window of his vehicle,” while driving on Freedom Boulevard near 50 North according to a police affidavit obtained by the Deseret News.
According to the affidavit, the motorist who called 911 to report the incident stayed on the phone with dispatchers until Corliss was pulled over.
Police say that Corliss denied having any kittens but the responding officer observed “cat hair all of the front of his green T-shirt.
Upon further investigation, police found one deceased kitten in the area.
