UPDATE: Campground evacuations in Summit County’s ‘Upper Provo Fire’

SALT LAKE CITY — A fire burning in Summit County in the Murdock Basin grew to between 30 and 40 acres late Friday afternoon. Utah Fire info officials reported that they were moving campers out of campgrounds along Broadhead Meadows Road.
The Upper Provo fire is burning brush and timber in the Heber-Kamas Ranger District on the east side of Mirror Lake Highway.
Summit County reported they had several fire engines on the scene as well as two helicopters.

The Hollow Fire
The Hollow Fire in Sanpete County began burning in areas of pinion juniper on Friday afternoon.
Utah Fire info tweeted that the Hollow Fire was burning near Indianola and was threatening approximately 40 structures. By mid-afternoon, it had burned 25 acres.

The Pine Hollow Fire
The Pine H0llow fire is a lightning-caused fire that started burning east of Kanab on July 29. By July 31, this fire had burned up to 8,000 acres and forced the evacuation of the Stateline Campground.
