Gov. Herbert declares State of Emergency following windstorm

CENTERVILLE, Utah– Governor Gary Herbert has declared a State of Emergency following the arctic windstorm that left extensive debris and thousands without power.

More than 100,000 Utahns are still without power due to high winds on Tuesday. Clean up efforts in hard-hit areas in Utah, including Davis, Weber, and Salt Lake County, are only beginning.
Governor Herbert says he is amazed by Utahns coming together to clean up the wreckage left by the storm.
