Live-fire training scheduled at Camp Williams this week

SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah National Guard will conduct live-fire training at Camp Williams from March 15 through March 17, 2021.
This training will take place from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. according to a tweet from the Utah National Guard.

The cities that might be affected by noise include Eagle Mountain, Saratoga Springs, Herriman, Draper, Bluffdale, and South Jordan.
The camp is a National Guard Training Site operated by the Utah Army National Guard.
The camp is 26 miles south of Salt Lake City. It is south of Bluffdale, west of Lehi, and north of Saratoga Springs. It is situated in both Salt Lake and Utah counties, in the western portion of the Traverse Mountains.
According to its website, Camp Williams has nearly 25-thousand acres of combat training areas that resemble environments currently encountered by Guard members.
Training facilities include small-arms-weapons firing ranges, artillery-firing points, demolition, grenade, and crew-served-weapon ranges.
