Two records broken as Salt Lake City hits triple digit heat

SALT LAKE CITY — The National Weather Service says that today’s 100 degrees Fahrenheit record in Salt Lake City breaks two records in the city’s history.
The first record broken is the heat record for June 4, which was previously made in 2012 when Salt Lake City reached a record 98 degrees Fahrenheit on the same date.
The second record being the earliest Salt Lake City has reached 100 degrees Fahrenheit on record.
