One man dead following Utah County accident

SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah — One man died Friday night following a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Foothill Crossing and Foothill Blvd. near Saratoga Springs.
The accident happened as a motorcyclist collided with a passenger car around 9:15 p.m. The motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.
The crash is still under investigation.
“Was there a vehicle that ran a red light or something like that? I honestly truly couldn’t tell you,” said Sgt. Zach Beglarian with Saratoga Springs Police Department to KSL NewsRadio.
The passenger car suffered right rear damage, according to Saratoga Springs police. There were three individuals traveling in the car. They were treated and released at the scene by medical personnel.
The intersection was closed for nearly four hours as the scene was cleared.
The victim, whose identity has not been released, is a 30-year-old man who lived in Eagle Mountain.
In addition to the Saratoga Springs police, Bluffdale police and the Utah County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.
