Semi rollover in Garland sends one person to the hospital

GARLAND, Utah — The Utah Highway Patrol is investigated a semi rollover on northbound I-15 near milepost 391 Monday evening.
In addition to the UHP, the Garland Fire Department, Portage Fire Department and the Plymouth Ambulance responded to the scene.
According to the UHP, the accident took place just after 6 p.m. The driver of the semi lost control and then hit an abandoned vehicle, causing the semi to roll.
One individual, who was trapped by the dashboard and the steering wheel, had to be extricated from the semi.
The individual was transported to an area hospital in serious condition.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. The scene of the crash is now clear.
