Police attempted to contact wanted individual, left scene when determined there was no risk

SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake Police attempted to contact a wanted individual somewhere near the airport on Tuesday. They asked the public to avoid the area.
On Tuesday, the Salt Lake City Police Department published a tweet. They asked the public to stay away from the area of 4600 West and 150 South, near the airport.

Police attempted to contact and make an arrest of a person wanted for felony-related charges. They believed the individual was in an RV at the scene. However, they were not able to make contact with the person. Police reported no injuries.
After an hour and a consultation with the SWAT team, crisis negotiators, and social workers, officials left the scene. They announced that there was no danger to the community.
