One person killed in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday morning in Roy

ROY, Utah — A two-vehicle accident Tuesday morning claimed the life of a woman, Roy police said.
According to police, emergency personnel were notified of a crash at 5200 South 1900 West at 8:55 a.m.
When emergency personnel arrived on scene, they noticed a vehicle that was southbound on 1900 West had drifted left of center. It collided head-on with a northbound vehicle that was stopped waiting to turn to left onto westbound 5200 South.
A female driver in the southbound vehicle was discovered unresponsive by emergency personnel, according to police. Life-saving measures were performed on the woman, but were unsuccessful.
Police say the adult male driver in the northbound vehicle was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No other information was available. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
