Apartment fire leaves one dead, multiple injured

SALT LAKE CITY – An apartment fire from early this morning killed one and injured more, including a few firefighters.

The apartment building that caught fire is located at 245 South 300 East. Investigators determined the cause of the fire to be unintentional. 300 East was closed for multiple hours while fire crews worked and investigators determined the cause.

13 apartment units were damaged beyond repair. All residents of those units will be displaced.
