SALT LAKE CITY — The Path of Art is a new podcast from KSL Podcasts focused on people in various creative fields including painters, comedians, filmmakers, radio hosts, and more.

The podcast’s goal is to outline these artists’ paths so that other creative people starting out can gain some inspiration and perhaps some wisdom as they start their own path.

New podcast follows creators on their path to art

The show’s first guest is Danny Drysdale, a filmmaker from Los Angeles who has made music videos for The Killers. He’s also worked with other bands like Scissors for Lefty and Echosmith.

Danny Drysale is a well-known videographer.

The first episode details Danny’s introduction to The Killers and how his passion for Monty Python-style comedy led him to the band.

That unexpected connection came up in response to a question about how he became interested in film.

“The first thing that comes to mind when anyone asks me that, usually it’s Monty Python,” he said. “That’s what really got me interested in the idea of movies.”

I’m the host of The Path of Art, Ryan Meeks. I interview creative people about their life and things they have learned along the way.

My background is in film, music, animation, painting, and drawing. I’ve been on my own path. I decided to start this podcast as a way for me and others to learn from those with a demonstrated history of success in their careers.

The Path of Art is a bi-weekly podcast and will publish episodes every other Monday.

We want to hear from you.
