SALT LAKE CITY — The reward for information on the murder of Rosie Tapia has been increased from $35,000 to $100,000.
Twenty-seven years after the home abduction and murder of Tapia, the reward money has nearly tripled in hopes of finding Tapia’s killer.
It is confirmed that Tapia’s sister, Emilia “Emo” Elizondo, hosted a party the night prior to Tapia’s disappearance. There is reportedly “sufficient information to support the idea” that a small group of people residing at the Hartland Apartments had something to do with the murder.
There is hope that the increased reward money may convince someone in that group to come forward.
Information can be anonymous and confidential. The Increased amount is personally being guaranteed by Private Investigator Jason Jensen.
