Chalk the Block charity event is set for later this month in Provo

PROVO, Utah — The 11th annual Chalk the Block for Charity Utah is scheduled for Aug. 25-27 at the Shops at Riverwoods in Provo.
According to a news release, this year’s theme is ‘The Great Outdoors.’ The festival will begin on Aug. 25 at 10 a.m. It is required that all art be finished by 3 p.m. on Aug. 27.
The festival will feature more than 80 artist teams. It will also highlight category winners from the 2021 event. Professional featured artists will also be at the event.
Onsite viewing of Chalk the Block for Charity Utah will be available Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Other activities include live entertainment, give aways and deals and promotions from the Shops at Riverwoods shops and restaurants.
Chalk the Block for Charity Utah will once again be partnering with Spectrum Academy.
“We are looking forward to another year of Chalk the Block,” said McKell Law, committee member for Chalk the Block Charity Utah. “Once again, we are honored to partner with Spectrum Academy to help brighten the future of children with autism in our community.”
Money raised through the event will help students at Spectrum Academy reach their fullest potential, according to Amy Baker, development coordinator at Spectrum Academy.
“Donations received through this event will further our mission to help students reach their fullest potential academically, socially, and emotionally, leading to productive and successful futures,” she said.
While the event is free, those who attend are encouraged to make a donation to Spectrum Academy.
