Severe thunderstorm warning issued for Davis and Weber counties

SALT LAKE CITY — The National Weather Service out of Salt Lake City issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of Davis and Weber counties until 9 p.m.
The NWS says areas impacted by the storm are Bountiful, Layton and Ogden.

Wind gusts as strong as 70 miles per hour are expected with this storm. Additionally, the NWS also says pea size hail is expected with this storm.
Additionally, the NWS issued a special weather statement for parts of Salt Lake and Utah counties until 9 p.m.
