Paramore condemns reported homophobic attack at concert

SALT LAKE CITY — A popular band that played at The Great Saltair on Tuesday night is condemning homophobia after someone reportedly attacked a same-sex couple at the concert.
On Facebook, Paramore said the attack happened outside of their view and that they didn’t find out about it until after the show.
The band said that a man “physically and verbally assaulted multiple women, including an engaged couple.”
Paramore said that if they had seen it happen, they would have stopped the show until the situation was “under control.”
Further, they said they do not condone violence, homophobia, or bigotry. They called such sentiments “supremely unwelcome in our community.”
According to the band, the security team and staff at The Great Saltair removed the man who was accused of the attack.
