Garland Elementary teacher arrested for alleged sexual assault against two students

BOX ELDER COUNTY, Utah — On Monday, Oct. 17, a Garland Elementary School teacher was arrested for alleged sexual assault. The teacher, identified as 59-year-old Patrick Green, has been accused of sexually assaulting his juvenile students.
A young girl, currently a student in Green’s class, claimed Green frequently approaches her from behind and places her hand on his genitals.
Additionally, the girl told police that, on more than one occasion, Green touched other female students inappropriately.
The same girl told police that she was touched inappropriately by Green at the Brigham City Pool.
The school sent a statement to Garland Elementary parents and families stating Green has been on administrative leave for the last five weeks.
“We will continue to support students and teachers through this difficult time,” said Garland Elementary administration.
Green was arrested on four counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child. The arrest came after the report from the Utah Division of Child and Family Services on Sept. 9, 2022.
Parents of family members with more information on this case are asked to call Tremonton/Garland Police Department directly at 435-257-7577 or 435-257-3131.
