SALT LAKE CITY — The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced Monday the open house dates for the Helena Montana Temple.

The public open house will begin Thursday, May 18 and will run through Saturday, June 3. There will be no open house held on Sunday, May 21 or Sunday, May 28.

A media day will be held on May 15. Invited guests will tour the temple on May 16-17.

The temple will then be dedicated on Sunday, June 18 by Elder Gary E. Stevenson, of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. The dedication will be held in two sessions at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

This will be the second temple in Montana. The Billings Montana Temple opened in November 1999. Additionally, the Missoula Montana Temple was announced by President Russell M. Nelson in April 2022.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the Helena Montana Temple was held on June 26, 2021. The temple was first announced by President Nelson in April 2021.
