17-year-old dies in a two-vehicle crash near Moab

MOAB, Utah — A 17-year-old female driver was killed Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash south of Moab.
According to the Utah Highway Patrol, the teenager was driving a gray Subaru Outback northbound on S.R. 193. Then for reasons unknown, the UHP says the Subaru Outback drifted into the southbound lanes.
It struck a Dodge 3500 Ram pickup truck that was pulling a gooseneck trailer with a truck on top. The UHP says the crash occurred near milepost 123 at 3:25 p.m.
The Subaru struck the left rear of the Ram pickup truck and front left side of the trailer.
The driver of the Subaru died from injuries sustained in the crash. A male passenger in the Subaru and the driver of the Dodge were transported to a nearby hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
