PARK CITY, Utah — Park City is geared up for a brand-new event, the first annual Cardboard Sled Derby. Inspired by the wildly successful cardboard boat race held at the end of summer, this new event promises to be just as entertaining.
The event took place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 4th,2023 near the Park City Ice Arena.
Participants in the cardboard sled derby worked hard to construct their cardboard sleds using only cardboard, duct tape, string, and paint.
However, there are no limits to creativity, and the designs will undoubtedly be as unique as they are imaginative.
The ingenuity and resourcefulness on display are a testament to the spirit of this community.
The events promise to be full of thrills and spills, with prizes awarded for a myriad of categories held true. Awards were given for the furthest distance, best wipe-out, most creative, and more.
Whether participants were in it to win it or just looking for a fun day out, there was surely something for everyone.
