3 dead, 2 seriously injured in crash; NB I-15 closed in Weber County

FARR WEST, Utah — Three people were killed and two were critically injured in a crash early Wednesday that has closed northbound Interstate 15 in Farr West.
Sgt. Cameron Roden with the Utah Highway Patrol said a passenger car was going very slow or was possibly stopped in the left lane when a semi-truck hit the back of the car.
All traffic is being diverted off northbound I-15 at 2700 West (Exit 349) and the Utah Department of Transportation said to expect major delays in the area for several hours. Drivers can use U.S. Highway 89 as an alternate route.
The three people who died and two who were injured were all in the passenger car. The driver of the semi-truck was not seriously injured.
State troopers have not released the identities of the victims.
