Body recovered from canal identified as man reported missing

SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department has confirmed that a body pulled from a surplus canal earlier this week has been identified as 22-year-old Tyler Svetich. 

According to SLCPD, the death is not considered suspicious at this time. However, the Medical Examiner’s Office will continue an investigation.
