Fire on Beck Street releases thick black smoke, no businesses impacted

SALT LAKE CITY — A fire on Beck Street broke out near Balfour Beatty Rail Inc., burning tires and the power lines nearby. The thick black smoke can be seen in both Davis and Salt Lake Counties.

Salt Lake City Fire said they are not sure what caused the fire at this time, but that no businesses were impacted. There are no current reports of injuries.

Salt Lake City Fire said they will provide updates as more information becomes available.
