Police investigating a stabbing in downtown SLC

Salt Lake City police says a 30-year-old man was taken into custody early Monday morning, Sept. 4, 2023 for allegedly stabbing a woman and assaulting a police officer. (SLCPD)

SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake City police said one person is recovering from non-life-threatening injuries after a stabbing last night near 110 South 300 East.
Officers said when they arrived at the scene, they found a man with at least one wound. They provided first aid and the man was then taken to a local hospital.
Officers said there is no threat to the public, and that the investigation is ongoing.
