CLEARFIELD, Utah — Reo has been found and reunited with the owner and her family today. Reo has been missing since the owner’s car was stolen with 7-year-old Shih Tzu still inside Sunday.

Police wrote that the victim’s family believes the dog was dropped off by the suspect who stole the car. 31-year-old Melissa Rush was arrested by Clearfield Police Thursday on suspicion of theft.
The police said that after Reo had been dropped off at the encampment, a family there took care of the dog with no idea Reo had been stolen. Reo was given back to the owner with no issues.
Police said they are still looking into who dropped the dog off at the shelter.
