Flash flood warning in effect for parts of Zion National Park

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Utah — The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for parts of Washington County that include some of Zion National Park.
The NWS warning covers popular recreation areas of the park like The Narrows and The Subway.
The NWS said it is expecting thunderstorms to bring flash flooding to slot canyons and small streams.
The warning advised people to find higher ground and said to avoid walking or driving through flood waters.
This warning is in effect until 9:30 p.m. Sunday.
