KEARNS, Utah — The Kearns Library has teamed up with virtual healthcare to create new access to telehealth.
In this modern world, many people still don’t have internet access to utilize the convenience of telehealth appointments, said Kearns Library Manager Trish Hull.
She said many people in Kearns also don’t have access to private spaces, which are necessary to take part in telehealth.
Now, people can use rooms in the library equipped with high-speed internet and basic medical examination tools, such as a scale and blood pressure machine.
The library staff will be available to help with scheduling and set up, Hull said.

“Even though our partnership is with the U of U and they’ve been terrific, anybody can come. Holy Cross, IHC … anybody that you make an appointment with, you can come to us,” said Hull.
“This helps us move into the future and provide access, just another way,” Hull added.
