SLCPD respond to shots fired near Independence Blvd. searching for suspects

SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Police Department is looking for two suspects related to shots fired near Independence Blvd. Sunday morning.
According to a SLCPD press release, the investigation began at approximately 11:08 a.m. Police had received reports of a “possible domestic disturbance” in the area of 1865 West Independence Blvd.
Officers are responding to reports of a shooting near 1865 West Independence Blvd.
We are working to gather information and determine to circumstances.
There are no known injuries.

Following this, as officers responded, more reports came in of shots fired. They arrived on the scene within two minutes of receiving these reports, according to the press release.
Officers began to search the area for potential threats and victims. No one was injured as a result of the shooting, the press release states.
After this, police were informed that two suspects had fled in a car after the shooting.
At this time, no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
