According to Porter, a plane experienced an engine fire while approaching the airport. Porter said the plane was 10,000 feet in the air at the time.
The fire caused smoke to fill the cockpit but the two people in the plane were able to clear it out and landed safely. They were both unharmed.
Porter said the fire was put out about 25 minutes after crews responded. According to Porter, the fire damaged the plane enough for it to be a total loss, valued at around $300,000.
