Crash near Bridal Veil Falls kills one man

One man is dead following a car accident near Bridal Veil Falls Thursday afternoon. Another man was sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. (Utah Highway Patrol)

BRIDAL VEIL FALLS, Utah — One man is dead following a car accident near Bridal Veil Falls Thursday afternoon.
According to Sgt. Cam Roden with the Utah Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at around 3:59 p.m. A Chevy Cobalt was traveling westbound when it lost control due to heavy rain. This caused the Chevy to spin into the eastbound lanes, where a Kia Sorrento hit the driver’s side of the vehicle.
The driver of the Chevy was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the Kia was also transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash closed the eastbound lanes for a time.
