SOUTH JORDAN, Utah — The Utah Department of Transportation plans to close Bangerter Highway from 9800 South to 10400 South this weekend for construction work.
According to Kylar Sharp with UDOT, the construction starts Friday around 10 p.m.
“We will be doing a full closure,” Sharp said, with the section of Bangerter between 9800 South to 10400 South closed in both directions.
A press release from UDOT also said it would close all southbound lanes between 9000 and 9800 South on Bangerter Highway.
The closures last through Monday but will end at 5 a.m., just before the morning commute.
The construction is part of the agency’s efforts to convert Bangerter Highway to freeway-style interchanges.
UDOT will remind Utahns about the closures on its social media pages later this week. The agency recommended that Utahns visit the UDOT traffic website for up-to-date information on construction closures.
