Data for 560 million Ticketmaster users stolen, hackers claim

SALT LAKE CITY — A hacking group claimed it breached Ticketmaster and stole data from 560 million users, several outlets reported Thursday.

The group, ShinyHunters, asked for a $500,000 ransom payment to avoid the sale of the data, the BBC reported.

Ticketmaster has not confirmed whether the hack is genuine or not.
