TAYLORSVILLE, Utah — Police confirmed a crash involving two semi trucks Sunday afternoon at 1433 West, 4740 South in Taylorsville.
According to Sgt. Keller with the Taylorsville Police Department, a driver was heading eastbound on 4700 South in a semi truck, when he said some vehicles interfered with travel.
“He ended up swerving to the right side where there was [another] semi parked along the road,” Keller said.
The semi was parked and had no one in it, but the first semi struck hit the corner of the parked semi truck, causing “significant” damage to the cab of the driver’s vehicle.
According to Keller, the fuel tank came loose. The fuel leakage from this damage was the only potential hazard to come from the accident.
The driver walked away uninjured.
As of around 3:15 p.m., Eastbound Taylorsville Expressway at 1400 West is closed for clean-up.
