SALT LAKE CITY — A dozen vehicles suffered flat tires this morning on I-15 southbound. This caused delays between 5300 South in Murray and 9000 South in Sandy.
Sgt. Cameron Roden, Utah Highway Patrol spokesman, said it was “due to a stick shift in the lanes of travel.” Roden said that’s what a few of the drivers reported hitting, but the offending object was never located.

Further south on I-15 in Spanish Fork, a belly dumper hit a passenger car, sending it onto the railroad track 20-30 yards away.
“There were only minor injuries, and the person chose not to be transported to the hospital,” Roden said.
