SLCPD arrest man suspected of shooting 2 at apartment complex

SALT LAKE CITY — On Friday, police arrested a 22-year-old man suspected of shooting two men. The victims were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
According to a press release by the Salt Lake City Police Department, it received a call of a shooting around 5:19 a.m. on Thursday. The shooting happened in the area of 385 W. and 1700 South in Salt Lake City.
Upon arrival, police found two men with gunshot injuries.
Jose Jimenez-Mancilla was booked into the Salt Lake County Metro Jail on six counts of felony discharge of a firearm and two counts of aggravated assault.
Police believe all three men know each other and Jimenez-Mancilla fired his gun after getting into a fight with the other men at an apartment complex.
According to the press release, no further information will be released.
