Activities to avoid include lighting a campfire, dragging chains from vehicles, such as trucks, target shooting and even driving a car that has faulty brakes or worn tires.
Make sure to put out all fires properly and never throw a lit cigarette or charcoal remnants onto dry grass.
Fire Prevention Specialist Kelly Wickens encourages Utahns to be safe while having fun outdoors.
“You can still enjoy recreational activities and Utah without using sparks at this time . . . stay safe and have fun,” she said.
