Woman killed, man seriously injured after head-on crash in Tooele County

LAKE POINT, Utah — A woman was killed and a man was seriously injured after a head-on crash near the westbound I-80 ramp in Lake Point, Tooele County.
On Tuesday afternoon, an SUV traveling eastbound to get on the westbound I-80 ramp crossed the center line. They crashed into a Ford F150 truck, said Corporal Luis Silva with Utah Highway Patrol.

The driver of the SUV, a 69-year-old woman, sustained fatal injuries and died on scene.
The driver of the pick-up, a man in his mid-50s, was airlifted to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
The road around the area of the crash will be closed until 8 p.m. Tuesday.
North Tooele Fire also responded to the incident, as one of the cars was reportedly engulfed in flames.
