SALT LAKE CITY — Fire weather conditions are ripe for danger in northern Utah, the National Weather Service warned on Monday.
The NWS Salt Lake City said critical fire weather conditions would last through Tuesday night.
The NWS said the conditions were a result of scattered and dry thunderstorms, gusty winds and low humidity.
The areas impacted include Box Elder, Tooele, Cache, Rich, Weber, Davis, Salt Lake, Utah, Wasatch and Summit Counties.
What do fire weather conditions mean for those in northern Utah?
Fire weather conditions make it easier for fires to start up.
The NWS said the conditions mean you should avoid activities that can create sparks.
It also warned Utahns to be careful with campfires. The NWS also said to follow local fire restrictions.
