WINDER, Ga. — The 14-year-old accused of killing four people in a shooting at a Georgia high school and his father both appeared in court Friday.
The Associated Press reports Colt Gray allegedly used a semiautomatic assault-style rifle to kill two students and two teachers. Additionally, nine other people were injured during the shooting. His father, Colin Gray, was also facing several charges for allegedly consciously allowing his son to have a gun.
According to AP, during the hearing, Colt was informed of his rights and the charges he faced. He could face life in prison without parole. Because he is a minor, the death penalty is not a possibility.
Another hearing for Colt has been set for Dec. 4.
After Colt’s hearing, his father’s began, according to AP.
