Alleged University of Utah stalker arrested

SALT LAKE CITY — In an email on Friday, the University of Utah announced that an alleged campus stalker had been arrested by Salt Lake City Police.
Oluwatobi Oludaisi Shokunbi, 34, also known as “King Rocky” is now booked in the Salt Lake County Jail. He faces charges of criminal trespassing, stalking and lewdness.
Shokunbi was wanted for allegedly stalking women on campus.
Court documents confirm he is being held without bail.
District Attorney Sim Gill said Shokunbi allegedly entered two separate apartments and asked for a student by name. Later her followed another female student into a dorm building.
“We think that he is such an on-going risk to our community that we want to hold on to him. We requested from the court the he be held on for both the safety of the alleged victims and also the general safety of our community,” said Gill.
Gill also said Shokunbi can be seen on a surveillance camera taking off his clothes in a communal area.
While the alleged stalker has been arrested, University of Utah Police still urge people to continue to be vigilant and aware.
