Saratoga Springs woman dies after being hit by a car while crossing the street

SARATOGA SPRINGS, Utah — A 75-year-old woman died after she was hit by a car while crossing a street Monday morning.
At 8:30 a.m., the woman was walking near the intersection of Cozy Lane and Floribunda Drive in Saratoga Springs, according to the Utah County Sheriff’s Office.
A car driving east and turning south hit her while she was crossing the street, leaving her critically injured.
She was flown to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray where she passed away from her injuries.
The driver remained at the scene of the crash and is cooperating with investigators, the Sheriff’s Office said.
It’s confirmed that the driver is employed as a crossing guard for Saratoga Springs City.
