Fire department responds to house fire in Salt Lake City

SALT LAKE CITY — The Salt Lake City Fire Department is responding to a house fire along 1000 West in Salt Lake City.

One person was rescued from inside the house and transported to a hospital with minor injuries. As of around 8:45 p.m. Tuesday, the Salt Lake City Fire Department said the fire is under control and all occupants are out. 

The Salt Lake City Fire Department asked the public to avoid the area of the fire while they work. The fire caused a road closure between between 400 and 500 North.
