SALT LAKE CITY — If you want to see fall colors this year, you won’t have to go far. Friday’s rain showers and cooler temperatures will bring out the colors in the valley.
Taun Beddes, KSL Greenhouse Show co-host and Utah State University Horticulturist said it’s been an unusual autumn.
“I’ve noticed a lot of trees are still green in mid-October,” Beddes said. “Which is not common for our weather patterns.”
If you do go to the mountains, Beddes said to look for fall colors in trees near rivers or go to protected canyons and also look on the north slopes.
Beddes said he’s predicting trees in the valley to change colors quickly after the temperature drops.
